Introduction to La Lantana, Sardinia
Just a fifteen minute walk from the gorgeous white sandy beach of Nora in one direction and a ten minute walk from the little town of Pula in the other—is the hotel La Lantana (www.lantanahotel.com) — named after the brilliantly vivid hedges of coloured shrubs which surround the property. This very comfortable, family-run hotel is the base for our Sardinian culinary adventure. In addition to the hands-on cookery lessons in the hotel kitchen, we will explore the local area including Feudi della Medusa for wine, the magical island of Caloforte to discover the Ligurian connection and the market of Cagliari to check out what the locals are buying!
For those of you who enjoy a round of golf, we are situated very close to the international golf club of Is Molas and we can easily arrange access and transport. (Though not a golfer myself, I can appreciate the glorious views down to the coastline from the green at Is Molas!) Sardinian cuisine holds a myriad of secrets, and during our stay we shall unravel many of them. I can promise you a very special time on this gorgeous island, which I have only recently re-discovered after an absence of far too many years.
