Day one - Saturday arrival at l’Antico Casale di Scansano
Following a welcome ‘Spuntino
’, you will have time to settle into your new-found home and prepare for the four course dinner that is being prepared in your honour!
Day two - Sunday
Breakfast on the covered terrace, a leisurely morning in the Spa for the first of your inclusive spa treatments followed by lunch and then your first venture into the kitchen for:
Lesson 1 - Introduction to Tuscan specialities and preparation of a selection of classic Tuscan dishes e.g. Crostini Toscani, Arista di Maiale alla Fiorentina, Ribollita etc.
These delicious dishes will result in your dinner together with a Morellino Tasting!
Day three - Monday
Breakfast at home, free time in the Spa and then off to a local vineyard for a tour, wine tasting and lunch. More tastings in the afternoon—but this time olive oil and cheese and then back to the l’Antico Casale for:
Lesson 2 - Pasta Lesson
Resulting in a four-course dinner!
Day four - Tuesday
Breakfast and the second of your inclusive spa treatments followed by lunch at the l’Antico Casale and an afternoon cookery lesson:
Lesson 3 - Using the local olive oil, morellino wine, honey and pecorino cheese to make some of the local recipes
Dinner - Results of the lesson!
Day five - Wednesday
An early breakfast and prompt departure for Capalbio Market to purchase all sorts of goodies for a picnic lunch before re-entering the kitchen for:

Day six - Thursday
Breakfast and the third of your inclusive spa treatments followed by a late morning visit by the Butteri—the local Maremma cowboys—who will show us their horsemanship and unique skills, tell us about their traditions, how Buffalo Bill once discovered this little known facet of Tuscan life, etc.
Lunch at the l’Antico Casale followed by a visit to Saturnia—a thermal spa for steaming and sulphurous outdoor bathing—and on the way home…a special huntsman’s lodge becomes our dining spot for tonight, deep in the forest, surrounded by the sights and sounds of wild boar, deer and other animals—fantastic food in the most amazing atmosphere!
Day Seven - Friday
Valentina will be available for any last minute culinary questions or you could make the most of the Spa! Departure from l’Antico Casale di Scansano. Tears and Farewells!
